GENTEX AND ANTOLIN JOIN FORCES TO ESTABLISH THE FUTURE DIRECTION OF VEHICLE INTERIORS IN EUROPE

Erlenbach (Germany), April 14, 2026 - Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX) and Antolin have signed a cooperation agreement to bring next generation dimmable sun visors to the European automotive market. The partnership unites Gentex’s leadership in electrochromic dimmable glass with Antolin’s expertise in interior systems for global vehicle manufacturers.

Dimmable sun visors are a significant advancement in a component that, despite being essential to everyday driving, has remained virtually unchanged for decades. Traditional sun visors block almost the entire forward view, which creates a significant problem. Drivers have simply learned to accept losing sight of their surroundings whenever a sun visor is deployed because there has been no better solution – until now.

Gentex has given this familiar element a new purpose by integrating a transparent panel that can darken automatically or on demand. This effectively reduces sunlight glare without obstructing the driver’s view. This results in a more comfortable and safer driving experience, allowing drivers to continue monitoring traffic, stoplights, signs, and the road ahead.

Building on decades of expertise in dimming technologies – from automatic mirrors to electrochromic aircraft windows – Gentex has applied its know-how to one of the cabin’s most visible and frequently used components. This solution is designed to protect, support, and enhance the driver’s connection with the vehicle without compromising the emotional experience of a clearer, brighter journey. As a strategic partner to leading European OEMs in overhead and interior systems, Antolin brings deep expertise in industrialization, interior architecture and large‑scale integration. Its proximity to manufacturers and understanding of evolving regulatory and user-experience requirements position the company as a co-developer of next-generation interior solutions, not only as a system integrator.

Together, Gentex and Antolin ensure that the dimmable visor becomes a robust, safe and seamlessly integrated part of the vehicle interior.

“At Antolin, we are committed to redefining the in‑cabin experience through integrated technologies that enhance comfort, safety, and design. Partnering with Gentex allows us to bring a new level of innovation to one of the most familiar elements of the vehicle interior: the sun visor. By combining their leadership in dimmable glass with our expertise in interior integration and user‑centric solutions, we are helping OEMs offer a more intuitive, comfortable, and improving driving experience,” said Enrico Marzinot, Technology Solution Director at Antolin.

“The collaboration between Gentex and Antolin is an important step in bringing dimmable sun visor technology to the European automotive market,” said Robert Steel, Gentex Vice President of Sales in Europe. “Combining Gentex’s expertise in dimming technology and glass manufacturing with Antolin’s knowledge of modern car interiors, innovative materials, and technologies will allow us to transform the way car interiors feel and how they contribute to comfort and safety.”
